Hover Switch - Proximity / Toggle Switch
Activate your adapted toys with this Hover Switch - Proximity / Toggle Switch just by getting close to it, no physical contact needed. The hover switch can be activated by any part of your body by movement over the activation surface. It can be used by persons who have limited mobility as no pressure or force is required to activate the switch.
The Hover Switch is highly sensitive and settings can be adjusted to detect different distances (3/4", 1/2", 1/8") from the activation surface to perform activation. It comes with a 6-foot-long mono 3.5mm jack connector plug and is compatible with any kind of adapted devices adapted with a 3.5mm cable.
The Hover Switch works with a replaceable CR2032 battery which is good for over 10,000 hours of operation and up to 100,000 activations. Approximately 2 1/2" in diameter and 3/4" thick, weighing less than 3 ounces.
Auditory and visual feedback can be selected according to the user's needs easily or can be turned off if desired. Easy-to-follow instructions included.
The Hover Switch will allow users of limited mobility to activate adapted toys that are unable to apply pressure or force on other capability switches.
This switch can also be adjusted by a caregiver to be used as a Toggle - On/Off Switch. This can be used for adapted toys that need a switch to be continually pressed to stay activated, like an adapted bubble machine or adapted fiber optic lamp.
IMPORTANT NOTE from Manufacturer: The Hover Switch is completely solid-state for minimal size, long battery life and high reliability. However, it may not be compatible with some voice output communication devices that have multi-function 1/8" inputs. At this time, we believe it does not work with some devices from Adaptivation (e.g., Medley) and AbleNet (e.g., Step-by-Step).
Shipping in USA included in price.
